Omneon MediaDeck GX is a complete channel playout solution that combines proven video server playout, world-class graphics and advanced audio processing, all under control of the user’s preferred automation system. Offering rich branding and master control functionality, MediaDeck GX makes it faster, easier and more affordable for broadcasters to launch new services, make incremental additions to their channel lineup, or implement disaster recovery.

• Proven Performance: combines a leading branding and master control module with Omneon MediaDeck, a proven transmission server
• Flexible Media I/O: with support for MPEG-2 record and play in either SD or HD, or the ability to mix SD and HD MPEG-2 and DV content in any combination on a single timeline, with fully integrated up- or down-conversion
• World-Class Graphics: provides high-quality integrated graphics features without the need for separate systems or complicated production workflows
• Master Control Functionality: capable of wipes, fades, pushes and other transitions typical of presentation mixers, as well as dual DVEs for squeezeback and other DVE effects, plus support for live and recorded key/fill enabling use of full HD overlay elements and live inputs
• Advanced Audio Processing: supports mixing and playout of voiceovers, promos and stingers, with optional decoding and/or encoding of AC-3 and Dolby® E audio
• Automation Choice: operates under the control of automation software purchased directly from the broadcaster’s vendor of choice
