Overview
Mira is targeted for general-purpose professional HD and SD digital video production environments requiring graphics files ingest and/or live recording, video clip playback, or simultaneous recording and playback—all within a large shared-access video media storage array.
These environments include: sports live instant replay; supplying animated graphics to "on-set" plasma monitors; large venue events presentations including corporate sales presentations; live concert and entertainment event recording and/or replay; and interstitial playback of animated graphics during live television broadcasts.
Mira is the newest generation of HD/SD digital video production servers from Abekas. Designed from the ground up as a multi channel server for advanced multi-channel production applications, Mira utilizes advanced digital video/audio hardware combined with the latest fault-tolerant RAID.6 / SATA.2 disk drive technology—and it’s all housed inside a very compact, 3RU chassis. The four independent video channels inside Mira can be instantly configured by the user for either record or play operation, with access to massive amounts of shared clip storage.
