Overview

MXF Info is the only MXF file analyzer available for Mac OS X. The analyzer takes advantage of the fully documented and open MXF format and gives full control about MXF creation processes to the content owner. MXF creators can't hide secrets or errors, the analyzer shows all KLVs within a MXF file and enables an user friendly MXF file control. The analyzer was originally developed for internal use only and allows us in combination with our own MXF core libraries to support more and more MXF variations and to validate MXF files for customers and partners.

Professional analyzing applications are quite rare for the Mac but we notice that more and more system engineers are using Apple computers. Due to our extensive MXF support for the Mac we decided to release MXF Info for Mac OS X. MXF Info provides the following analyzing functions and features:mxf-info

• Metadata analyzing
• Essences analyzing
• User friendly graphic interface
• Integrated preview in combination with MXF Import QT
• Embedded UL library translates UL strings into clear text
• Preview of compatible MXF files*

*A license of MXF Import QT is bundled with MXF Info to provide a preview of compatible MXF files directly in the analyzer. MXF Info will also run without the preview mode enabled.

MXF Info Light

MXF Info Light is based on our full feature MXF analyzer and provides a basic set of analyzing functions. MXF Info Light will provide you with the following MXF header information:

• Name
• Modified Date and Time
• Operational Pattern
• Essence Containers (Codec, Format)
• Creator (Company, Product, Version)
• Number of Tracks
• Edit Rate
• Duration
• Start Timecode
