With the CatDV Workgroup or Enterprise Server you get all the features and benefits of the standalone CatDV application, but all the clip metadata needed to help you organise your project is accessible via a central shared database, letting you quickly and easily find any clip - whoever worked on it and wherever the media files are stored.
What does the CatDV Server give you?
- Central clip repository containing clip metadata and thumbnails, with links to previews (and original media files, if available online).
- Powerful search dialog to search across all the clips and catalogs in the repository and bring back a result set of matching clips.
- You can save and work on catalogs locally, for example on a laptop, and update the central repository when the connection is restored. (You get the opportunity to resolve any save conflicts that may arise).
- The optional Live HTML Publisher module allows catalogs to be searched and viewed from any web browser.
